31 year-old Harvest had an infection in her right ear after a bad cold. Before coming to see me, she'd had antibiotics and homeopathic remedy for 2 weeks but still had pain and ringing in the ear, and her hearing on that side was deteriorating. It was her parents who persuaded her to try acupuncture. I used a few points in her neck, head and hand in the first session, and surprisingly her hearing improved right after the treatment. Her ear pain was dramatically easier the next day, and she was only having very mild discomfort when came for the second session. It only took the two sessions of acupuncture for her ear to go back to normal.

So how does acupuncture cure infections? Of cause it can't kill the germs directly as the antibiotics do. What it can do is to boost our immune system and help the body beat the germs.
